GABRIELE RISSO
Gabriele Risso is an Italian sculptor living and working in London. Born in Genoa in 1992, Gabriele moved to London during the pandemic. His move was influenced by his potential work with Paul Vanstone who has been instrumental in developing his practice.
In recent years, Gabriele has concentrated on the 'Still Life' - a theme well known in painting but unusual in terms of sculpture. Inspired by artists such as Cezanne, Giacometti and Morandi, each work starts with everyday objects and delves into what one 'sees' and the relationship between the objects.
"My intention is to represent what I feel, touch, see and to translate it into the language of sculpture." Gabriele Risso
