Collaboration Initiative Lucian Freud | Centenary Exhibitions in London

To celebrate the centenary of Lucian Freud’s birth, London plays host to a series of exhibitions marking the life of this remarkable artist. Collectively these shows present an impressive overview of Freud’s oil paintings, works on paper and etchings, rarely seen personal items owned by the artist as well as photographs taken throughout his life by his studio assistant David Dawson. With exhibitions at public institutions and commercial galleries, it promises to be an enlightening celebration of one of the most important figurative painters in recent history.

Branch Arts worked with Hazlitt Holland-Hibbert to initiate a collective map providing a one-stop-shop for Freud enthusiasts to learn about the exhibitions across London. Liaising with the many galleries and institutions involved and working with brilliant designer Paul Arnot, we have produced a DL Flyer which is being distributed across London venues and through Apollo and The Art Newspaper.

Bringing organisations together with strategic overview and audience insight is at the heart of how Branch Arts works. Many years ago, at The Photographers’ Gallery, Susie brought together eight London institutions for a Photo season, whilst current partnerships with Artistate and Park Village continue this tradition bridging the art world with other professions.
