Kieran Stiles

“One would be hard pushed not to be moved by the sheer beauty, the poetry that resonates from its surface”

- Brian Sinfield

Kieran Stiles (b. 1970) is a contemporary British Artist represented by Browse & Darby, Mayfair, London. His recent exhibition Lightscape, curated by Branch Arts Director Flora Fairbairn at Merton College Oxford, was listed in the Saturday Times’ Top Picks by Rachel Campbell-Johnston, alongside Anthony Gormley, William Blake, Damian Hirst, Cezanne, Richard Hamilton, Barry Flanagan, and Paula Rego.

Kieran studied Fine Art at Falmouth School of Art, and the Cornish coast and the Isles of Scilly continue to inform and inspire these evocative images which fizzle with life and electric colour. Kieran loves working outside, superimposing layers of oil paint with fractured marks, dashes and splatters that capture the spirit of a continually changing landscape. Each piece is developed and refined over subsequent weeks in his Oxfordshire studio. His work is held in many influential and distinguished collections internationally.
