About Katie Hellon
Katie’s work and exhibitions are wholly focused on the act of making – art is ‘a process of exploration uncovering something new to play with’. Over the years, her multi-disciplinary practice has revealed reoccurring themes and preoccupations.
Early works incorporated mosaics into hanging forms dictated by number patterns and meandering shapes evoking both the macroscopic and microscopic; their random and controlled movements questioned the role of artistic intention. These were formative ideas that would reshape and consolidate over time.
